The Baroque Horse of the Midwest (BHOTM) is proud to be continuing sponsor of "One Horse at a Time". Through the Equitarian initiative, Dr. Judy Batker of Country View Equine Veterinary Clinic in Oregon, Wisconsin has organized countless volunteers on behalf of the welfare of horses in need.

The Equitarian project began in Haiti with horses of the Citadel. These horses, barely pony-sized, were used to give rides to tourists of Haiti. Generally underweight and lacking veterinary care, Dr. Judy, along with volunteers from her clinic and friends in the horse world, started offering care and services.

The project has grown into friendships and helping these friends with schooling in veterinary care. Their basic philosophy is: People helping people - people helping horses - one horse at a time!

This project has touched other countries as well as our Native Reservations here in the United States. Please help us with this very important cause.

All proceeds from this class are donated to One Horse at a Time. Open to all breeds, exhibitors can ride in costume, show attire or barn clothes. Exhibitors may also just lead their special equine partner to honor of the horses that need our help. Donations are also thankfully accepted for the project.

All exhibitors who participate in the One Horse at a Time Equitarian class will receive a special medal in honor of the class.
